Dear Me: At 25 Years Old

Given a few years, some experience and a healthy dose of perspective, it seems there are a lot of things to say to our former selves-if only that were possible.  Of course, it's our mistakes that make us who we are today, but I can't resist the temptation to try to push my 25-year-old self in the right direction.  Here's my list of 10 insights I'd share with my earlier self:

1.  Three fast food meals per day WILL make you go up three dress sizes.

2.  You don't have to be married or have kids yet, even if all of your friends have chosen that path.

3.  Use wrinkle cream.  You don't have wrinkles now...let's keep it that way!

4.  Yes, your boss is demanding and you are grossly underpaid, but this job will lead to better paying ones later-and the experience you're getting now will actually be useful, I promise!

5.  New cars are a waste of money.  Buy used.

6.  Quit trying to be blond.  You have brown hair.  Seriously.

7.  Stop stressing out so much.  Nothing you're worrying about now will matter in 7 years and you're causing knots in my shoulders that will really hurt in my 30's.

8.  Leave some money in the bank.  You'll need it for emergencies or when you get laid off of work.

9. You don't know everything.  In fact, what you think you know now will seem insignificant in less than 10 years.

10.  When your intuition says that someone is lying, they are.  Don't second-guess your intuition.  Ever.

Given the chance, what would you say to your earlier self?  Please post in the 'comments' section below:
