Update 4/12/08: Favorited 29 times on Cut out and Keep!
Inspiration can come from many places and with so much daily minutiae we must manage, it can be difficult to remember every inspiring moment, magazine article or idea that we encounter. An inspiration book can help you organize these ideas for future reference.
Materials and Tools Needed:
- A Binder (get one that you really like)
- Dividers for the binder
- A hole punch (three-hole, preferably)
- Articles, pictures, magazine pages that inspire you
- *Optional* a label maker
How to:
Whew, an easy project! Yay!
1. Gather tons of material that inspires you. Magazine articles, things printed off the Internet, newspaper clippings and more. Try and sort them into piles based on category. 2. Place dividers into your binder. I chose a flowery pink and green binder (me? Pink and Green? Who knew?) and some fancy dividers: *Optional* Label the dividers. I've chosen not to label mine because I change my mind so much!
3. Punch holes in the materials you've gathered, and place them in their respective divided areas. If you don't have a 3-hole punch, use the small hand-held one with a divider as your guide for the hole placement.
4. *Optional* Create a label for your binder:
And you're finished! Add anything that strikes your fancy, at any time. Occasionally, you can go through and remove things that no longer inspire you. Just be sure to recycle the pages!
