Woo Hoo! I'm Published!!!

I'm a huge fan of Peter Walsh, organizing expert most often seen on TLC's Clean Sweep, but also a regular on Oprah, published author, and most recently, host of his own radio show on the Oprah and Friends nework.
Being a fan, I'm subscribed to Peter's monthly newsletter and when he put the call out for suggestions or stories for his new book, Have You Lost Your Mind? Clearing the Clutter Between You and Who You Can Be, I jumped and submitted some thoughts I had on the parallels between clutter in our lives and clutter in our relationships. I also tackled streamlining with regard to spirituality. Some of you may know the latter from my prayer bowl post.
Well, I got a fabulous email today. My entries are being used in the book, to be published in January 2009. Woo hoo! Here's a combination of the two emails I received:
Hi!
Not long ago you sent me a great email telling me of your thoughts about the effects that clutter has had on your life.
I really appreciate the time and effort you took to give me your insights and perspective.
In early January 2009 I am releasing my next book entitled Have You Lost Your Mind?: Clearing the Clutter Between You and Who You Can Be and I’ve included the following extract from your email in my book:
Dear Peter:
I do seem to manage my relationships just like my material things; I streamline. I keep few, but solid friendships. To me this is exactly the same as keeping few, but meaningful collectibles or few, but useful pieces of furniture. I know people who have tons of acquaintances but don't nurture their relationships, and I feel that is the same as people who acquire "just in case" stuff and don't use it.
Dear Peter:
Liz Gilbert, author of Eat, Pray, Love, said (on Oprah no less!) that (and I'm paraphrasing) if meditating is yet one more thing you HAVE to do each day, don't do it. I think you can apply that concept to all areas of your lives (including spirituality) and streamline them down to the things that give us the most meaning and joy and enjoy them fully. One of my favorites is to combine my personal wishes and prayers for other people into my prayer bowl. It's a glass bowl with a small votive in the middle (the candle is encased in its own glass votive holder) surrounded by river stones.
As I wish for something, or if I want to send healing energy or prayer to someone, I write the desire on a small slip of paper. I place it in the bowl (away from the candle) and light the candle nightly, meditating for a minute on positivity or healing or both. Once a month, I clean out the slips that no longer need prayer. For me, this consolidates many of my spiritual needs into one meaningful and enjoyable moment each day.
Please be assured that there will be no way to identify you or any person or place you might have happened to mention in your email.
I wanted to let you know about publication in advance and hope that you are as excited about the release of the book as I am.
Your thoughts will be really helpful in getting people to
think about clutter in their lives in totally new ways.
Kind regards and many thanks.
Peter
